This is a 0.57 acre building lot in Hernando County, Florida.  It is a beautifully wooded lot with frontage on Umbrella Rock Drive, about a tenth of a mile west from the intersection with Wickshire Street.  It's just over 1 1/2 miles from highway US 301/FL 35.  It is less than 2.5 miles from Interstate 75.  It's about 42 miles north of Tampa, about 48 miles west of Orlando, about 75 miles south of Gainesville, and about 83 miles southwest of Daytona Beach.

This lot is fairly high in elevation, as you can see in the Google Earth photos in the "maps" tab.  The property is heavily wooded, and in back of the lot the elevation drops off and there is a large occasional pond or small lake.  There are some homes scattered through the neighborhood.  This is a beautiful property and the surrounding area is also very attractive.  The flood zone in this area is rated AE, which means that there is only a 1% annual chance of flooding.

Webster has a population of about 819.  There are numerous businesses including grocery stores and restaurants.  There are several flea markets, including the legendary Webster Westside Flea Market.  There is great hiking to be had in the area.  This property is about a quarter of a mile from the Withlacoochee State Forest.  The Silver Lake Recreation Area is just over one and a half miles away.  There's good fishing at the Redden Prairie Pond less than 3 miles away, and the county has many other fishing lakes, streams, and bays as well.  There is lots to do in Hernando County, and a nice farmers' market is available to you.

This is a great place for a conventional or modular home.  Mobile homes are not allowed.  The amount of trees on the lot let you maintain a high degree of privacy.  All of Florida's amenities and recreation are available to you, yet you can always look forward to the peacefulness of your home retreat.  Power is available from the lines on Umbrella Rock Drive.  County water and sewage are not available at this time.  You would need to contact a local well driller in order to explore that option.  Sewage, if you decide to build, would be by septic system.  Taxes for this property are currently only about $125 per year.  Before the real estate market crashed these lots were fetching a lot more money than now.  This is the time to pick one up.
