This is a 10 +/- acre parcel close by the scenic Malone Mountains and less than 2 1/2 miles north of Interstate Highway 10. Not only is it next to the Malones, but the Quitman Mountains are to the southeast and the Finlay Mountains are to the north. Mighty Sierra Blanca at 6,891 feet high is about 9 1/2 miles to the east.
The area is beautiful, with the mountain views that we like so much, and this parcel would be a great place for a camp. We can see from tire tracks visible on Google Earth that there is or was a trail running to the parcel. Madden Reservoir is about 4 1/2 miles to the northwest. Gunsight Ranch is about 8 miles to the north. The county seat of Sierra Blanca is less than 15 miles east. Fort Hancock is 15 1/2 miles to the west.
The legal description of the property is the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 25 in Block 73, Township 7. We believe that all the parcels in the south half of the section have access easements around their perimeters. There are several possible ways to get to the property, you will probably want to check out different routes to see which one you prefer.
